Things Entrepreneurs Should Know

About

Things Entrepreneurs Should Know is a business podcast for entrepreneurs, founders, and owners focused on building lasting value.

This isn't a playbook or a collection of quick wins. It's a conversation about how businesses actually grow, how decisions get made, how capital is deployed, and what happens when the plan meets reality.

Each episode draws on more than three decades of experience working alongside business owners, CEOs, boards, investors, and management teams—through growth, change, difficult decisions, and the occasional mess that comes with running a business.

Hosted by Chip Schweiger, the show brings a steady, practical perspective to the questions that matter most: what to focus on, what to ignore, when to change course, and how to think clearly when the stakes are high.

Because there's rarely a perfect map for the Wild West of business.

Chip Schweiger is a strategic advisor, writer, and host of Things Entrepreneurs Should Know.

For more than thirty years, he has worked alongside business owners, founders, executives, and leadership teams as they’ve built companies, navigated difficult stretches, made capital decisions, and figured out what comes next.

His career has taken him from public accounting and financial leadership to the boardroom and the CFO's chair, working with businesses ranging from founder-led companies to larger middle-market organizations across a variety of industries. He is a CPA by training, but his work has always been less about accounting than about understanding how businesses actually work, and helping the people who run them make better decisions.

Chip’s writing has appeared in the Journal of Accountancy, The CPA Journal, and regional business publications.

Through Things Entrepreneurs Should Know, he brings that experience to conversations about business judgment, growth, risk, capital, leadership, and the decisions that ultimately determine whether a business creates lasting value.
